Much to my astonishment, I have been invited to a muggle writer's group through my church. I am frankly astonished and wonder how long this will last. The word from a friend of mine who secured the invitation for me is that if these people like your work, it will go to print.
So, now is the time to see if I have real talent, and am I up to writing withing the constraints of what adults see as proper spelling and sentence construction? Up until now, I have written for fun, and have ignored the rules of most of the editor mongers. I just wanted to have fun! :)
Perhaps I am about to get a taste of my own medicine because many years ago, I was somehow pressed into the role of helping my then new wife get through nursing college. Well, over the years she proved to be an extremely talented and gifted Nurse, but in those early years, she was profoundly illiterate when it came to putting words on paper. Still, it was up to me to help her research, write and edit her work. I was not the kindest editor, but I knew what the college wanted and pressed her to produce it.
So, now my own work will face the harsh glare sunlight. Anything I produce for them will of necessity be non-TG. I am already wishing that I had been kinder to her.
Much peace
Gwendolyn

The evils of youth.
LOL Carol, not a day goes by that I do not receive, completely unbidden, a "Kharmatic" revelation about my past.
I now understand the disadvantages of heels, the limitations of long skirts when crawling in the attic, the necessity of aprons when baking, the need for many petticoats when it is cold. I am now educated on the need for a "wife saver" if one is cooking in the fire place. I know how icky it is to feel my sodden skirt hem when I walk through wet grass.
I have felt the anger of a woman when a man pulls the engine dip stick from my hand, saying, "this is not for woman, where is your husband woman?". Of course I immediately felt grateful that he thought I was a woman, and that it would be his hands with oil on them.
Oh, the list goes on and on. The very idea that women, even in America, are equal is ludicrous. We must fight for every right we get. And some, I am happy to have taken from me. :)
