Am I right in thinking you can vote for multiple stories?
If so, presumably it's a good idea to only select a handful, rather than the majority! :)

Yes, you can vote for more than one story
Though that lessens the effect of voting for just your very favorites. If you voted for every story, that would have the same effect as voting for none.
You can also go back later and change your votes or vote for more stories. Voting is open till 11 pm Pacific Time, Sunday, October 30.
