That describes my regular writing schedule. It took me over four months to write my most recent story.

I use to type 5-8 pages a day, now I am lucky if I get three. I had to take a second job, I'm just trying to get out of a hole. Didn't help that I had to spend 60 bucks to get my car out of the mud or the 200 dollars to pay for taxes and change my tags over (tag was 100 bucks on its own, florida sucks) But I am hoping to get things down as promptly as I can, but we all do what we must.

I've been too busy on the weekends of late to get any writing in. Might just give up and do some writing during the week this week and hope I don't wind up keeping myself up too late.

One thing I used to do when I was in a boring meeting or some such, was scribble a random shape into the margin of my notepad, then add other pen strokes 'til it started to look like something. A lot of the time it ended up as nothing, but other times I'd end up with dragons or dinosaurs or futuristic aircraft or whatever.
These days I do the same thing with words. Go out for a walk, clear out the garage, do the ironing. Do something mundane, then describe it in words. A sentence turns into a paragraph turns into a chapter. Again, it doesn't always go anywhere, but sometimes it sparks off unusual ideas, or at least jogs you back into the flow.
If that doesn't work, take a couple of day's break and come back to it. Don't feel guilty, because everyone deserves a rest now and again.
It's a bit like Douglas Adams trick of flying. First throw yourself at the ground. Second distract yourself at the last minute so you miss. When you hit the writers' block, it's better to chuck yourself at it so that you miss and sail over than to keep hitting it until it gives in.
Anyway, hit, miss or take a break, good luck with it and see you on the other side.

my problem is that i will get blocked on on project, so i will start another...then another... you should see my writing folder...giggles. keep blogging and keep writing, even if you jump from project to project... it's there and it is such a balm to the soul... it will happen...and in such a huge flood, you won't have time for a cuppa...giggles
