Katia, my dear Katia

Katia dear, please behave yourself won't you?

At first when Hurricane Katia came on the scene, I thought for sure that someone at the National Weather Center was a reader on BCTS, and that may be so, but upon doing some more research, found that I did not originat the name at all, but some Greek dude. :(

I thought at first that Hurricane Katia would do just lots of harm in the states, but like the Katia of my simple tale, she spared most populated areas, leaving behind mostly big waves and rain. Now, she seems aimed squarely at the UK and I dearly hope that by the time she gets there, most of her energy will have been expended over the cold North Atlantic.

Some may think that passing Katia is causing the flooding along the eastern sea board, but it is actually due to the renmants of LEE.

Hopefully the real Katia will be more like my own Katia, female warrior feared by the evil but kind to the innocent.

Much peace

Gwendolyn

Katia...

Is what caused us our noreaster that's finally left. It was a very mild one this time, but still, the long cloudy, windy, drizzly days weren't any more fun just for being mild about it!

We're supposedly due for some more stormy weather tonight and tomorrow, but this time it'll be coming from the normal direction: west.

A counter-reaction to the "odd" pattern caused by Katia, if it occurs.
