I saw a CNN clip about Commic Con, and OMG, my imagination is like totally captured ! Wow!

I was thinking that if I get involved in it, I would like to be "Katia" in my girl rambo story. Of course that means losing the 30lbs I have been storing on my body, but I can just see myself in a butt length Black wig with blood red highlights, a black costume with black leggings with all sorts of dials and vents on the leggs, a sexy top and a holster for my "Noisy Cricket" and of course my enhanced sword! No stillettos, though, you can't really run and fight in those things!

What do ya think? I know nothing about Comiccon.

You have to track down Scotty for that. He's big into that stuff. As for who can do it, anyone can although you do need to find the rules for what kind of props and accessories are allowable.

Many...

Many do it... My eldest daughter's been once... More often she does "Steam Punk" events... And has LOTs of fun developing her costumes.

Enjoy yourself... Losing the extra weight can't hurt (independent of the costuming), but is not required for the cons, generally...

YESSSS!

Steampunk is really cool!!! I've got this great faux leather steampunk-style corset! Like to get some more stuff, but finances are kinda tight right now! :(

It's even...

It's even making it into the "mainstream"... Seen it in a TV show or two.

I'd like to get a rig as well... But... We'll see, maybe next year's Steampunk Worlds Fair.

....here I am at the 2nd Annual Farcape Cos-Play Virtual Convention at Atlantic City in 2018. I think I do a pretty fair facsimile of Chiana, don't you think?

Cosplay can be fun... (ick warning!)

...but some really push the envelope.

One of the most known examples is Sailor Bubba.

A man at ease with himself

I look at Sailor Bubba, and I see someone very much at ease with himself, with a good sense of humor. Whose probably aware of this poster, and finds it amusing.

Personally, I think we could use a lot more people that comfortable with themselves. They tend to be more accepting of others.

Agreed

Most of us are in no position to be pointing fingers and laughing at other people. But I suppose everybody thinks they're a wit.
