Well, I took a plunge today. I went to the downtown United Church dressed as Dorothy, and was welcomed with open arms. Not only that, they want me to be part of their affirming group that helps GLBTG people feel welcome there. Can it get much better?

I'm really pleased and excited for you. I'm really pleased that you've found some sort of support from an American church. In Britain, those that need to keep faith with the Christian persuasion have an organisation called Cybles. It's a transgendered group somewhere around Manchester, England, that is run by and for transgendered people.
We who find our support and comfort elswhere readily accept that others need faith to support them.
Good luck with your church and spread the word amongst those American churches who have so pilloried Khadijah Gwen and many others.
That is not only your duty to your god but also your duty to other transgendered people who seek their succour in faith.
