What is going on? I look at the numbers on the chapters of 300 Rains and it seems like 200+ hits on Chap 20 missed chap 19. Are people missing the story?

Maybe?

Maybe it's sort of like what happened to me? I saw Chapter 20 and opened that first. At the top of that there was the reminder to check chapter 19 first so I clicked the story link back to that and then after reading that went on to twenty. As a consequence you'd have 2 reads for chapter 20 and 1 for chapter 19 from me.

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Yeah, probably.

I know I read chapter 18, then got up and found chapter 20. After a while, I decided to look at it and see if it was the same one I'd read earlier, and I just was misremembering.

Nope, it was a new one. Then I thought about the slight glitch in time that appeared to be there, and skipped back to 19 and found I hadn't read that _either_.

It's because the system automatically hides the previous update when you make a new one. So even though they're both the same day, only the latest shows up on the front page.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

Not automatic

It's done by me, or one of the other editors. And if I notice that someone has put up two in one day, I'll leave the older one up for a bit longer than taking it down "automatically" when the new one goes up. But mostly, I don't notice. Sorry. I have to do these things by routine and something that is not routine doesn't necessarily stand out.

On multipart stories...

...there's another option (one I tend to use):

1. Open any chapter (usually the latest, because, well, it's easier to find).
2. Go to the end of the page and click on the "up" link. That will call the title/index page.
3. From the title/index page, click on "Printer-friendly version." That will generate a SINGLE page with ALL the chapters.

Notice that you can get all the chapters without opening the earlier chapter pages. I don't know how the software handles this kind of thing, but I think there's a fair possibility that it doesn't count "printer-friendly" pages at all. If so, the earlier chapters don't get counted.

Thanks! I didn't know any of

You can also click on the author name which will bring up a list of stories, recent chapters at the top followed by title pages. Click on the right title page to bring up the list of chapters.
