A little while before I had started writing Bobby's Rainy Day Adventure, I started creating this comic. I eventually got frustrated with it because creating the pictures felt like it was holding up the story I wanted to tell. When I started writing Bobby's story, most of the ideas from Alex's story went into it. I may eventually start on the comic again, but I thought I'd present what I had so people could see the seeds of Bobby's story. Enjoy!

.. that you can draw as well as write. I'm quite sure your drawing has improved much since these as well. I know for a fact your writing has! Great story conception. If you have time play with this, please doodle it on when you can. You seem to be doing extremely well and have great talent within you!!!!!!!!!! If I could do half as well I would be lucky :)

There doesn't seem to be enough here to comment on the story yet, but I do like the way it's presented.
Your panel layouts are dynamic and interesting, and the fascinating drawing style seems to resemble woodcuts. Particularly, the big black, almost alien-esque eyes lend an eerie quality to the scene that adds an aura of forboding.
The Crossgender Misadventures of Alex...
...may eventually get started up again with a slightly different story line than the one I had originally lifted from it and used in Bobby's Rainy Day Adventure. I've recently been thinking of some new ideas and have been getting the itch to start drawing again.
I've actually done artwork for another writer's stories before, but I never tried asking any other authors if they'd be interested in an illustration. I guess part of the problem is there might be some stories I might feel uncomfortable illustrating (like stories that had humiliation, sex or violence as a main theme), and I'd worry about insulting someone if I turned them down.
I'd like to thank everyone for all your wonderful comments. I won't make any promises yet about continuing this comic yet, since I'm not sure if I have enough of a new story yet to go anywhere with it. But I do promise that if things start popping again, I'll include updates to Alex's story here. :)
