Smile, your biggest asset !

One of the biggest issues I faced in passing was my smile, and for most of us T folk, lots of the time, there just does not seem to be much reason to do so.

However, I think a happy smile can be our biggest asset, even if we don't feel much like smiling. In my experience, slapping on a happy, mischevious smile before I leave the door, can make my day seem brighter, and generally makes other people respond to me in a much better way.

I am writing this blog as much to myself as others, because I notice that since I took on two roomates, I smile much less, if at all. They are gone this week, so the pall of doom seems somewhat abated. It's given me time to look back to the months before I came down to Ohio. At that time, I had a smart ass, mischeivous smile that just seemed to make others smile. I think it made others feel better and now I realise that it almost certainly helped my own moods.

My Smile Recipe

Imagine that you have just put a dead fish under the seat of a friend. (On plastic of course, so when they find the fish, they can get it out without ruining the car.

Imagine that you took the last of the Creamer.

Imagine that you just got in the car, and locked your brother out!

Remember when you saw a woman walking on the street with TP hanging out the back of her skirt.

My X actually went to work one time with an extra set of Pantyhose, hanging out the back of her women's power skirt suit.

You got it, think of something funny, even if you have to invent it.

Now, let that funny thought drift onto your face, and pull your mouth into a gentle smile. Next, concentrate on raising your eyebrows; opening your eyes; look mildly astonished!

Remember, you do own the world!

Happy Thanksgiving

A friend of mine went shopping with a pair of panties being dragged from the bottom of her pants leg, The same girl put both legs through 1 side of her thong so the triangle patch was off on her hip NOW THAT'S FUNNY . This girl has given my wife and I so much to laugh at and she is not even a blonde

Smile?

I think of things like the little girl I saw in the store with her mother who played peek-a-boo with me. Or the guy who decided to put his money in a charity box to help a family who lost everything in a fire instead of buying a pack of cigarettes. Then there's the community that pulled together to help a volunteer firefighter's family after he died while fighting a grassfire. This is the sort of thing that makes me smile.

It would seem that what makes you smile is to put something over on other people or to see them embarrassed and/or humiliated. Sounds kinda sad, really.

. . . .

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until they speak.

I went outside once. The graphics weren' that great.

I'm really not that brave or mean. LOL

What I meant was that I like to think about doing things like that. LOL No one who has met me would even suspect that I have an inner brat like that.

Smile for the camera

I'm one of those people whose face freezes when trying to smile, yet I can smile naturally at so many things.

You're so right that smiling makes you look and feel better. Everyone's humour is different, so I don't think there should be a one upmanship about one person's humour being "better" than another.

When I'm dressed, I feel good and a smile at myself makes me look so much more like the person I want to be.
