Oh wait, that might be a good thing... ;)

I've commented before that I think my muse has multiple personalities or something since she's always shoving half a dozen different story ideas at me at once. Well, apparently VC, with its now four active side stories, is right up her alley! I've had an explosion of VC inspiration over the last few days. After posting A Father's Rebirth 2 on Tuesday, my buffer was down to 4 chapters. Now it's up to 11, and still rising! At this rate I'll have 15-20 chapters ready by the time I post on Monday! (For those not familiar with VC (Venus Cursed!), the chapters are about 1,500 words long. The side stories are often shorter. Still a fair amount of writing, though.)

So what does this all mean? Well, maybe nothing if this is a one off bout of inspiration. But if things continue at anywhere near this rate through Monday, I'll be ready to accelerate my posting schedule again. And only four postings after accelerating it the last time! Wow, I didn't expect things to move quite this fast!

I'll only go up to posting every 5 days for now (I think it's pretty much a forgone conclusion this will happen at this point). I'll wait a little while after that to see if it's a sustainable rate to post at. I think it is, easily, but I don't want to make the same mistake I did before and put too much pressure on myself. If my buffer keeps growing, I'll go up to every 4 days. Who knows, I might make it back up to daily! (Don't hold your breath, though)

I've just about got A Father's Rebirth caught up with the main VC storyline, and all three of the other side stories have passed it up. So writing on VC itself will resume very soon. Probably before Monday. I wouldn't be at all surprised to have a chapter or two ready by then. Of course, I still have to get through posting 2 or 3 Father's Rebirth chapters and 5 Toil & Trouble chapters before the new VC can be posted, so you'll have to wait a little longer for that!

Another nice thing about all this writing is that, if my buffer grows to the extent I think it will, I can take more time for my other stories without hurting my posting schedule any. Which would be nice, because most of them have waited too long already. Not that VC hasn't been languishing for a long time, itself!

Sorry for going on and on like this, but I'm really amazed at how into this I'm getting now. I'm really excited to get the next chapter of VC up, which makes it a bit frustrating because there are so many chapters of the side stories to post before I get to that point! But it's coming, at last! :)

Great to Hear

But a buffer of eleven chapters is way too much: even at four day intervals, that's six weeks till we get to see all of them, which means we won't get back to VC until well after Halloween. Boooo!

I'm kidding, of course. I look forward to things moving forward at whatever speed you choose to post them.
