Khadijah Gwendolyn Ellen um Brown here.
Tommorow afternoon, many will notice that BCTS is strangely peaceful and harmonious. I will be off line for about 10 days. I am told the particular Rabbit hole I have chosen will once again emerge in the vicinity of OHIO. We are driving and we hope to make this a grand road trip. My companion has insisted that my "helpless little blonde ditz" personna go into the glove box, and that I assume the role of a competent, adult female, GASP! This is too much for me, what am I to do!
Perhaps I'll even abandon my conservative Hijab in favor of the Morrocan version which will make me look more like a 60's flower child. No tie dye though, I absolutely draw the line there. Actually did did not get to do the 60's because I was reluctantly dressed in olive green, and marching to the sound of a different drummer. Even then, everyone but me realized that my soldierly attitude was a very C grade act, and inside lurked a spirit that should have been darning socks, LOL.
I'm gunna miss the stories here.
Much peace.
Gwen

Enjoy yourself!
And try not to think of the week's worth of evenings spent catching up on your return :)
Olive green's an interesting colour choice - but at least it's fairly neutral and earth-toned.
Driving past Warwick University earlier, I saw a student wearing a bright yellow gown coupled with a white headscarf, walking with her head bowed, so although her face was uncovered, you couldn't see much of it. Talk about a sending a confusing mixture of messages...
