This is getting old, isn't it?

Just when I thought I was getting it back together my muse decides to mutiny! Well, to be fair, the story she's stuck on is one that's been in my head for far longer than any of my others. I may have to write some of it, just to get her off my back about it! ;)

I got even less writing done yesterday than I anticipated, largely due to the presence of my niece and nephew. I'm not complaining about them being here, but three and six year old kids do make it a bit difficult to concentrate! Especially my three year old nephew; that kid could power half of North America with all that energy!

I've been tense ever since the incident at work last week. Silly, I know, but this is me we're talking about! ;) Anyway, that hasn't helped things any, especially since I tend to get emotional a whole lot easier when I'm stressed. So, of course, I've been getting down a bit again. Having to really struggle just to keep from breaking down in tears at dinner with my parents and niece and nephew today was just ridiculous.

I'm not even sure what I'm down about! The only thing I can come up with is being lonely. I think about it far more than I like, especially since it's extremely unlikely to ever change. I'm just too shy, plain (at best), and I don't get out much at all.

Anyway, I'm going to take some pressure off of myself and say right now that it is very unlikely that I'll get anything posted today. I'm probably just going to mess around with this other story and maybe a little of Kim's (Kittyhawk) and come back to it later tonight or tomorrow.

I'm not going to say sorry this time 'cause everyone just complains so much when I do! ;)

P.S. Have I thanked you guys for keeping me sane? I know it's a hard and likely futile task, but I appreciate it! ;)

P.P.S. Okay, show of virtual hands, who knew it was me from the title? It's getting to be a habit with you lot!

We've coped with worse delays :)

Mentioning nowhere in particular... *COUGH* Whateley Universe *COUGH* ...where collaborative efforts can take 18 months to materialise, and solo efforts not much shorter...

But we cope! :)

And if your muse is predominantly thinking about one story, then commit it to paper (well, Word/Notepad/whatever) before it fades. Once it's successfully recorded, then you can start thinking about other new stories or continuing existing ones...

Perhaps Venus' curse was actually to deprive you of inspiration / time when the plotline started getting really interesting, rather than anything to do with the characters themselves... :)

As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!

Aha!

So it's Venus' fault, not mine! ;)

A lot of muses seem to be on strike right now

All my favourite serial stories are updating slowly at the moment (or not at all). Maybe it's the bleak weather?

But then that gives me opportunity to read some other, older stories I didn't have the time to read before - and to find out that I like some of them too. :-)

As for being lonely, the only advice I can give is: don't wait for love at first sight. Start with making friends; you never know what a friendship may grow into - and if it doesn't, you still have that friendship.

Instead of a virtual hand I'm sending you a virtual hug. That's much better. :-)

To be honest...

You're a high maintenance girl, but we do like you! And your stories too! ^_^
As for the title? I was a little preoccupied with MMO at the time so... Perish the thought! ;)

Kids...

...are lots of fun, especially when they're wearing you down to nubbins with *E*N*E*R*G*Y*!*!* ^__^

*hugs*! you poor, silly writer you! It'll come out, one way or another. We'll be here when it does, so no worries.
