Just a reminder that my current story, "Tommy - The Trials and Tribulations of a Girl?" is set in the 1960s. It's currently the summer of 1968.
Kenndy has been assassinated, Johnson is the president, but is not seeking reelection. And we're deep into the Vietnam war. Dr. King and Robert Kennedy have been assassinated. And, our two girls have witnessed an anti-war demonstration on campus.
The next chapter of Tommy is going to be a little late. I got involved with the mess Yahoo caused by dropping their Groups. I'm working on moving a Yahoo group to a new group provider and it's taking more of my time than I thought it would. Tommy will be back shortly.
I goofed big time. I left an old message at the end of the last couple of chapters and it may have confused some. Chapter 185 is NOT the last chapter for now. I'm just getting back into it. SORRY. SORRY. SORRY!
Well, I've been able to cobble together a chapter of Tommy. Thank the Great Spirit. And, have gotten started on the next one. No promises as to when the next one will appears, but I hope it won't be 16 days between 183 and 184.
Sorry, the next chapter of "Tommy - The Trials and Tribulations of a Girl?" is going to be a little late. Things have been crazy here and Tommy had to take a back seat. It should only be a day or two.
Sorry, that Tommy is a bit late. But, I've spent the past two days recovering from a computer problem. Luckily I caught, thanks to my computer guru, that my hard drive was about to die (things were running slower and slower) and I've been rebuilding my PC's applications on a new machine. Not a fun job, but that the Great Spirit for good backups.
I've decided that when your 73 that recovery from major surgery takes a lot longer than when your in your 60's. And that the doctor was right, you will have good days and bad days. It looks like it's 2 steps forward and 1 step back (sometimes 2). Well, yesterday was a good day, so look for a new chapter of Tommy sometime this morning.
Well, after 6 hours of surgery on Wednesday followed by 24 hours in the recovery room (because of no beds on the surgery floors), I'm home. Actually, I was back home Thursday evening straight from the recovery room.
Well, it's my turn in the barrel. I've been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. So, on Wednesday 11/7, I will be having my thyroid and some lymph nodes removed. I should only be in the hospital for two or three days (I hope). Then I get to glow. I get to take a radioactive iodine pill.
Hopefully, I won't leave Tommy's readers hanging too long by their acrylic fingernails.
If you haven't noticed "Tommy - The Trials and Tribulations of a Girl?" is back. I won't guarantee the chapters will come as close as they did in the past. I'm doing everything around the house right now, so the writing time is a little limited right now. But I'll try.
Just an update to let everyone know that my SO's surgery went great! Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, wishes, and prayers. Now, all we have to do is get her home.
Just a heads up. My SO is having heart surgery this coming week (the week of 2018/09/09), and I might be a little late with the next chapter of "Tommy." But, I'll try not to leave you hanging by your fingernails for too long.
I may not be able to publish the next chapter of "Tommy - The Trials and Tribulations of a Girl?" tomorrow. With it being Thanksgiving we will be having a house full. And being a good little maid, I have to help the mistress of the house with the house and meal. If the mistress gives me a break I will publish Chapter 8, but be prepared to not see it.
