Feeling Paranoid!

I'm feeling very paranoid today because of something my mother said this morning. I was about to tell her something amazing that I had found out last night. I said, ''You'll never guess what I found out last night!'' and she replied, ''That you are really a boy?'' with a slight smile. That got me worried. It's probably nothing but it's just the way she said it that made me paranoid. It was as if she knew something. Bleagh. I hope she doesn't.

Also, I was recently asked by one of my close friends (who is a girl) what I would do if I became a member of the opposite sex. She said, ''You'd surely hate it,'' as she put on her makeup right before we head out on the town. I simply said, ''It'd be fun for like a day'' which is what a lot of lads say. It was the half truth. I'm not exactly sure what I want.

Has anybody else ever experienced anything like this?

Having being diagnosed with paranoia...

... does not mean that They are not gonna get you :-)
Mothers are different matter altogether. My usually knows something happened to me 5 minutes before it happens.
So, don't worry, being paranoid is normal state of being for lots of us :-)

It's tough for parents, too

This sounds like your mother understands you and is trying to get you to talk about yourself.

Parenting is a tough job. All children have their strengths, weaknesses and foibles, and parents have to say and do in order to develop their child in the best way they can. What should an ideal parent do? Getting someone to talk about their issues is generally the best, but trying to force it out of them is disastrous.

I think you should talk to your mother. She has given you the opening.
