What's great about your stories, Lily, is the glimpses into believable emotion, motivation and your insights into emotional situations. While I love a good Trans story, what makes a story good is when one is drawn into another reality, when suspension of disbelief is effortless.
There were a few moments in Crossdressing Charlie which were really poignant, in particular where Rachel and Charlie both rush off after their mum had prepared a lovely family get together. There are a few situations where one characters emotions are crushed by another character's actions, where the one doing the damage is oblivious to how much hurt they're creating. This is brilliant: it can make us all stop and wonder how clumsy we have been at times in our lives. It's insightful writing and is the sort of texture of realism which transforms a story and breathes life into it, and you do this often and skilfully.
So you may have found your niche, but your writing could satisfy mainstream tastes too.
