I got a little bit of extra money this month, and I think rather than just blowing it on an extra trip to McDonalds or whatever, I'm going to set it aside and make a "Dorothy fund" account. Then, whenever I can, I'll add to it, and hopefully, when I'm ready to move forward with a name change, I'll have enough put aside to cover the costs.

Funny thing,
I am finally hitting a point (but not quite) I can be myself. That is, the female I am. The HRT is doing it's thing, but has a long ways to go. I've gotten most of the weight off, still some left, but I have hopes of having something resembling a figure. I put a down payment on a really good wig that fits, I will have a small supply eventually. Wigs are one of those things that are not a luxury for me, but an absolute necessity to pass. Unfortunately, I will require some special fitting (large hat size).
I noticed quite a while ago that being a girl is expensive, but thrift stores and whatnot are your friend. I have long shrunk out of the early stuff I bought, and will again I'm sure. I wear size 14, I might actually reach a 12. I suspect there are going to be some happy folks in the shoe dept. I will probably donate most of it to the local transgender chapter for the new girls.
The only thing I seem to have is more patience than most, and it is fading fast.
