Well, last night I got a compliment that blew my case of "Tg PMS" (That's what Bailey Summers calls those times when I struggle with feeling like a fake). What happened was I started early, and I was talking with one of the evening staff who I dont know well, and was gushing over my daughter. His response "Ah, you're just a proud mom."
"Mom".
He called me "Mom"
Now, like I said, I dont think I've talked very much with this person, and I dont even know if I've ever mentioned my trans status to him or around him. And yet, he identified me with the female role without even missing a beat.
Am I happy about this?
Gee, what do you think?
Giggle.

I see it like this people just offhandedly tell the truth when..
they don't really have to think about what they're talking about or talking to. So he just rightly thought you're the great wonderful woman we all know:)

Dont you just love it.
My two girls have helped me become a better women by having to be their mother. One time in Wall-mart my sensitive hearing picked up on a conversation between two men talking about me. I am not a great looker I am 58, but they were talking about "how could such an ugly women have kids so beautiful" My return quip was to thank them for the complement. Their girl friends just laugh at the guys telling them they should look as good as I did after birthing two children. My head was so swollen then my kids hugged me and laughed at the guys as well. I felt at that time I had fully accepted my self as I am I am a women and a mother 100% no passing no shame. It was glorious.
