Last day to vote!

You have until June 9, to vote for your favorite May Day story. You can vote for as many stories as you like but you should vote only once per story. The story that has the most votes at midnight, server time, on June 9 will be announced the winner on June 10th.

Remember, the voting boxes are at the bottom of each story. For stories posted in multiple parts (there's only one) the part with the most votes will be considered the entry.

The voting gadget is timed so that you could start voting all over again for the early entries after June 9, that's why the voting ends then.

Yes, this gives some advantage to the early entries, that's the way it works.

Hugs to all,
Erin

Five Days to Go...

and the returns so far show a two-way battle for the top spot around the 100-vote mark, and no less than four stories within one vote of each other (54-55) for third. Three others have exactly 46. Median (10th place of 19 entries) is 36 at this point. (No surprise, I'd guess, to most of us as to which stories comprise the top pair. Beyond that, though...)

Anyway, those who haven't been voting all along (or who haven't read some of the stories) could definitely still have an impact in separating the tight finishers here.

Not Crowing!

I don't want to seem like I'm crowing. I know that there is no way my modest little story can complete with Sue's or Lilith's front runners. However I do feel like a winner, because no other story of mine has ever gotten as many votes as "Furthest Shore" has. I try to write for myself and go where my fickle muse leads me. On the other hand it is nice to see my stories gets hits and comments. Damn, I guess I'm human after all! :) Still a personal best is always nice.

That is not even talking about all the wonderful entries that these contests pull out of us! Wow, did we get some great tales!.

If you haven't voted yet, please do so! Like I said it is still neck and neck at the front!

Hugs!

Same here!

I feel the same way. I never expected to win, or even get close. I've gotten a much better reaction out of my story than I thought, though, and a new serial too! So I count myself a winner regardless. And I got lots of good stories to read. Win win!
