I thought it was snapple

I remember a story I read several yeras ago, do not remember the title or the site, but it was about a group of women intent on changing all men into women. One step in the process was, placing certain chemicals into Snapple products. They were able to do it because one of the conspirators I beleive was the head of product control.
So maybe, it is Snapple bottles, not the contents.

Over 30 years ago, Coca Cola was being distributed in green plastic bottles, with screw caps larger than those currently in use. Those bottles were quickly removed from the distribution channels, once it was found that they contained a carcinogen.
Acrylic plastic is used in carbonated soft drink bottles, these days. Those bottles get recycled into carpets and sweaters.
