Yesterday

Yesterday was just too interesting.

First thing in the morning, I wake up to hear rain. Only when I'm in the hallway. I go outside and look, a spray of water is coming off the roof. Apparently it got cold enough to freeze and burst the pipe going to the swamp cooler on the roof. Had to turn off the water to the mobile.

Tried to call the handyman. My cell phone is missing. Called on computer phone and left message. Went to class after looking thru car for phone and calling cell phone from house phone. No answer.

After class, called handyman again from home phone and left new message. Guys delivering piano come over but they can't get the piano into the house because steps to steep, they have to go build longer ramp and come back tomorrow (today, it's here now, they got it in). My brother calls, he called my cell phone and got some kid who said for me to call.

I call the kid, he tells me he took my cell phone away from some other kid who claimed to have found it in a fast food restaurant I was in on Thursday last week. ??? I'd been missing the phone that long and hadn't noticed? We make arrangements to get the phone back to me. He warns that the other kid erased all my phone numbers. (He did. And made 131 text messages to his girlfriend, too.)

A neighbor comes over and helps me figure out how to turn off the water to just the roof so I can turn the water to the house back on. We do that. I go get my phone and call the phone company to find out how much all those text messages will cost me (not much, about $5).

I collapse into bed about 9:30 and get five phone calls before midnight on the cell phone and two text messages. The text messages are from the kid's girlfriend, I tell her to stop texting this number.

Sheesh!

The piano is now in my living room and looks good. It's an upright "grand" (5'5" tall) dark-stained walnut cabinet with a glass window to see the works inside. :) The keys are in good shape and it sounds fine though a bit out of tune, only a bit which is amazing actually. I'll get it tuned next week after it sits and adjusts wood and strings to the new location.

Hugs to all, everything worked out fine! :)
