I had the most amazing day yesterday.
I had taken my cousin to the airport to fly to a funeral. Yah, it was a downer, but we celebrated the life of my uncle on the hour long trip. I also came out to them. Total Acceptance! Aeeeiii what a feeling!
Having 5 hours to kill before my group therapy session, I went back to my old office to visit with people. It was wonderful. When I left, I have been in so much pain that my best friend couldn't look at me, and wouldn't sit down with me. She was so joyous to see me, that alone would have made my day. Same with my boss, I told both of them the journey I'm on. When I told my boss I was transgendered, he looked up and asked "what id you say about your shin?" Not a clue, took me three times to get him to hear me. He was surprised but TERRIBLY supportive. His comraderie and laughter a balm to my soul. Then I went and talked to my best friend. When I told her, I got the wide eyed look, then "you're kidding, right?" When I told her I was serious, she kinda squeeked and we then had one of the most delightful conversations of my life.
I went to group that night floating on air. The only bad thing I never had a chance to share what had happened.
What a day! What a life!!

You know, maybe Saturday. Know what I would do first thing?? I've thought a LOT about it. I think I'd open the House that Love Built, and invite you all in.

happy, Happy, Happy for you ... and ...
for those you found so accepting. isn't it wonderful that the number of people accepting seems to be both growing, and more knowledgeable about all parts of the LGBTQ spectrum?
It’s not given to anyone to have no regrets; only to decide, through the choices we make, which regrets we’ll have,

Thank You
Dear Beth ,
As long as you come to us here you always have unnubered ears, or rather eyes, that will share your joys, as shared joy is multiplied, as well as when you feel down, as shared "downs" are divided.
My best wishes

Question
Ginnie,
Are you a fan of Spider Robinson? Your quote is the mantra of his "Callahan's" universe. Thank you for reminding me.
