It's been and up & down week, and it was only Thursday when I received the latest news from the local NHS complaints office:
"Your complaint and the response from the practice, together with your recent emails is currently undergoing an independent clinical review. We will of course let you know once this has been completed."
So all I can now do is wait.
I have asked, several times, for a change of GP but I've heard nothing about it as yet - that doesn't have to depend on the complaint(s) but I suspect they have linked the request with the original complaint.

And folks wonder why
I've heard horror stories like this about "free" government health care from both the UK and Canada. And folk wonder why I opposed the same here in the USA.

The NHS before the Tories started
to dismantle it (like all the public services) was pretty good, but you can still have disagreements with individual doctors. It used to include a second opinion from another doctor but with the problems it's having that may have been suspended.
The US health system is mainly over cost run for profit, it has no defence in moral terms, like most things in the US it is all about money. In fact the reason why the US never developed a national service was that no one was prepared to pay towards others' treatment even though the same would apply to them as they needed it. Once again money is more important than life.
