thats to say its quite breezy hereabouts!
Yup its currently gusting @ 40mph outside the window (thank the Gods for double glazing!), driving the bit of damp straight through anything, its expected to stay well above 20mph into tomorrow. And its weather thats thrown my week out of kilter.
Monday then was spent sorting out the new Gaby tome for publishing via Lulu.com, it wasn't actually too bad a day - well until i went to the Post Office when of course it rained. It then stayed damp for the rest of the evening, keeping the tot brigade at bay and indoors.
Now the biggest plus for me, being independant in my revenue earning, is that i can pick and choose when i do stuff like going out on the bike, so with a dodgy forecast for Tuesday i decided to not ride yesterday. Of course, whilst a bit breezy, it was otherwise a glorious day, it didn't go to waste, i went to Sweden for brunch and made some tentative moves towards Christmas prezzies. I don't have much of a budget for gifts so i've been collecting odds and sods all year but sometimes when the Xmas stuff starts arriving in the shops you see something that you've not seen before. Once back from my 5 mile walk i got myself entered for the 2023 Spreewald Marathon next Spring so thats something to look forward to and give my riding some purpose at the same time.
And so to today. Having missed yesterday on the bike the window of dry this morning had me out earlier than is my want, the idea to get back before the strongest winds and rain moved in. I ended up a bit past Bath at Wellow where i stopped for some brunch before heading back into the rising winds. My timing was pretty good for a change, i stopped the GPS at 69km still dry if a little wind blown, the wet arrived shortly afterwards!
So it being Wednesday i've posted the next chapter of Book 1 for you, Bank Holiday.
I'll be back with more at the weekend, have a good rest of week
Tak
