So we had Sam today, and it was clear she had some kind of relapse of her anxiety. To make it worse, she told my mom that she shouldn't have gone to a BBQ at her friend's house on Saturday, suggesting something happened there that has caused this.
I honestly don't know what to do.

Just be there for her!
You just be there for your daughter! If she allows it just hold her hand, hold her in a hug and cuddle her. Or allow her to grab hold of your hand or arm. If you say anything, let it be sweet nothings like: "I am here for you", "[term of endearment] is here for you", "I love you!". That last one is one of the more important ones, but you really have to mean it and it has to come from deep in your heart.
Cuddles are very important for our mental health. And even more so for the mental health of our children.
