some say that we Brits have a fixation with the weather
Its not true, we just like to know how to dress! Its not often that we get more than a couple of days of similar weather, especially in the summer, its our maritime weather wot dun it. This time last week it was @ 33c, i was in vest tops and mini's, yesterday i was in full rain gear, today its barely making 20c i've got long sleeves, leggings and much longer skirt on! Without keeping an eye on the weather you never know what to wear. Predictable weather is nice but it can be soooo boring!
The weather has mucked up my usual exercise regime, last week it was extra rides, this week its extra walks - i don't mind walking in the rain but i'm not a fan of riding in the wet. Yesterdays bike ride got cancelled, replaced by a damp walk but hey ho, at least Monday's trip to the post office was dry. Today is currently cooler and grey after overnight rain, i'll go out a bit later.
Stuck indoors i did turn my hand to the keyboard yesterday, i didn't finish writing the next Gaby chapter despite tapping away until 11pm but i should manage it today - Patreons look out for a new post later.
The rest of the week should be mostly dry and back to the low 20's and it looks like i'll be busy. I'm hoping to do a longer ride tomorrow then a top up Friday. Saturday i'm off on an excursion to Salisbury Plain by bus then Sunday i'll likely go for another ride. Not that exciting but exciting and adventure is lacking from my life generally at the moment.
New Gaby as usual on Sunday,
Tack

Rain? What Rain?
Only a few drops have fallen from the sky since late June around here... RAF Odiham went 43 days without meaningful precipitation.
Enjoy the trip to Salisbury Plain.

Looking for a nice place for tea or dinner

If you are going to make it into Salisbury proper on Saturday a great place to get is Stoby's Fish and Chips. Good price with large portions and most importantly it tastes great. It is owned locally and the owners are nice people.

Going somewhere a lot more difficult to reach, Imber! Only opportunity this summer and only by bus. Was lucky enough to ride there last year - access is very restricted by the MOD
