so according to my account, I've been a member here for 13 years and 1 day.
I wish I could feel like celebrating, because I'm super grateful for this place, but I'm struggling with depression.

Good for you!
You’ve got a few years and a LOT more stories on me. But I always enjoy your offerings.
I don’t really have a depression condition, but sometimes the mood really hits me.
Feel free to shoot me a message if you need to unload a bit.

Always remeber that depression is ...
... an EVIL, LYING Beast.
I think of Depression as the HIV/AIDS of mental health.
It first disables the very resources you need to fight it, to deal with it, to chase it away. Then it moves in to do even more damage.
I'm sad and sorry that I can do so little from afar.
So please, find and use whatever help you can. Therapist(s), Faith Counselors, maybe medication (Sadly, there is not "one drug for everybody", and weigh side effects vs benefits). If medication seems to be right, tell doctor everything else you are taking. Read that brochure that comes with an Rx. (I'm on one drug where leafy greens and >grapefruit< (!) mess with the needed dose. Go figure.)
Please "keep us posted" as to how things are going for you.
