Well good morning from Gods Own, it’s a fairly bright start and we’re expecting some sunshine later.

It’s been an interesting week so far, flashing past oh so quickly!

On Sunday I got up early for the two hour journey by public transport to go visit my kids. 3 walks, and one each of tram, train & bus and I arrived for my visit. It was a day of cake, presents and play, 4 year olds can be hard going when you are a bit battered as wot i is. After a full day it was, sadly, time to retrace, the return was close on 3 hours due to a slower train journey, I was bushed but happy when I got back.

Monday was a little more sedate, a morning of tree trimming and disposal ensured some of exercise. Then it was across the city for a short walk and a visit with friends. It’s always a bit biter sweet to only have these occasional chances to catch up in person.

And so to Tuesday, my brother being off work saw us taking a trip south. So we ended up with lunch in Northampton before a bit of a tour of the area we grew up in. Then it was back to GOC, lots of travel but a nice day revisiting old haunts.

Today we are off to north Wales, it almost feels like I’m on holiday!

I’ll be heading back to Brizzle tomorrow, back to resume the usual round of writing and riding. It’ll be midsummer before I return north again for a cycling festival in York.

For now,
It’ll be rest
