certainly compared to recent weeks!

I've managed to get some reasonable riding done, some writing (for a change!) besides making a start on possesion sorting! The weather hasn't been too bad either, okay its not been exactly warm, yesterdays ride averaged a whopping 7c, but we've seen a bit of sunshine and whilst cold, the wind hasn't been so strong or gusty.

Thursday i decided on a chip run, a 110km variation of my semi regular ride down to Weston super Mare. Its not the hilliest or even remotely scenic route but there are enough variations of route to keep it reasonably fresh and the attraction of a food and drink emporium has turned it into a good standby if i'm not feeling too adventuresome. This time around i headed down to Avonmouth before crossing to Portishead, through the Gordano Valley to Clevedon before hitting the levels across to greater WSM.

A fairly brief chip stop was notable for the number of Starlings looking for crumbs but then it was back on two wheels for a cross country route back to the Avon and east Bristol.

Friday I decided to follow my muse and spent much of the day writing the opening part of the next Trixiebell story. I've had the rough plot / storyline rattling around the grey matter since at least the spring but failed to put pen to paper as it were so it was a major step forward to write some 2k words. As i mentioned on Friday, my Patreon patrons can read this now, the rest of you will have to wait a while.

I decided that Saturdays ride would be on the route of the one i abandoned last week, that is over the Severn, through the Forest of Dean then back via the Wye valley. And so thats what i did, bacon sarnie just before Lydney then sort of west over the Forest to the Wye, a loop past Goodrich Castle to Monmouth and down to Tintern. After a sarnie stop at the Abbey its a fairly straightforward run back to Brizzle, a little shy of 130km but a handy 1000m of up.

Today it was laundry first, then a Sunday constitutional before making a start on some more Trixie. Of course, being Sunday i like to dress nice so as its where i am now, it was dirndl time! Mine is Bavarian style bought from Munich - none of this all in one business from China but that comes at a cost so, unlike Gaby, i have just the one! Its really comfortable, I wish i could afford more but at two or three hundred euros each they are bit beyond my current income level!

And yes, I've redone my hair red - it kinda goes quite well with the dirndl don't you think? Maybe the fringe is a little high but its quite cute in a slightly gothy way.

It's Sunday so today you get a chapter of Ontario, the 31st of the book entitled Flight Check. Its taken a while but at long last its time to head for Canada, expectations are high even if Gaby herself isn't so confident of success.

That just about wraps things up for today, i've a busy week of riding, writing and reorganising planned and not only that, Weihnachts is only just around the corner too!

For now then i'll bid you farewell, food and more writing beckons in my near future!
