Yep, no new posting or insightful dialog, no moaning about weather, money or anything else - bit boring to be honest.

I've not had a particularly exciting week in any sphere, the weather has been quite benign which is nice, there haven't been any unexpected bills, in fact its been rather tickety boo. The only thing of note was the arrival of a huge model castle, a very limited release from one of the major kit manufacturers, I had to pre-order in the spring and start saving towards its availability. I don't drink (well rarely), smoke, do drugs, drive a car or anything else really, i've learnt to live quite frugaly over the years so the kit is a little present to me, from me for being a good girl.

So I did go for a ride yesterday which turned out a bit further than i was expecting, nothing daft, just 130km instead of my guess of @ 110km. I pretty much did the ride i'd looked at the night before, a twiddly ride into and over the Mendip massif before dropping to the moors and levels that lie at the southern fringe between Wells and the sea. The sun shone, the wind didn't really blow much and i was back well before lighting up! Altogether a nice day's ride, still with bare arms/legs, there won't be many more of them this side of Xmas.

Today has been taken with a few little jobs, laundry, a bit of clerical stuff, reorganising some storage and practising my Hallowe'en look - yeah I know its weeks away but I like to be prepared! Not that i'm doing anything of course, it's my Mothers birthday which, I have to admit we only 'celebrated' with cards and so on. When I was a kid, the big thing in the UK was bonfire night a few days later, Hallowe'en wasn't much of a thing, perhaps an excuse for a dressing up party for the kids but that was it, no ToT, no pumpkin fest, thats all been feisted on us from across the water much like fried chicken and the Kardashians! I suppose its the one day a year when looking a bit Goth is rather more acceptable than usual!

I will be back with more Gaby on Sunday and i'll probably have something lined up for a Wednesday post, fingers x'd.

So,

That's what the big box was. We'll have to start calling you Edward. (Or Edwina.)
