yep, Happy Yorkshire Day!
Here in Yorkshire we're unique in the UK in celebrating our 'national' day, English, Welsh and Scottish Saint days are almost ignored, its not PC to celebrate any nationalist sentiment. But some things are worth celebrating and here in GOC we are proud to celebrate and proclaim that pride, its not other people fault they don't live here - well p'raps it is, but we won't rub it in too much!
I seem to have spent the last few days continually on the move! Thursday I was on the go from early doors until tea time to get to Sheffield, a transport nightmare meant Friday's trip to Leeds was extended and more tiring than it should've been, then yesterday it was off out to North Lees as featured in Steph's latest tale, more buses, trams and a 4 mile walk. Today by comparison has been quiet, just a trip to the lock up which still involved a chunk of walking, 2 buses and 2 trams! If there's no rest for the wicked I must be a veritable demoness!
Overall though its been a good trip so far, time with family, meeting up with friends and getting some personal stuff organised, tomorrow is a bit of shopping and seeing more friends before I return to Cabotville on Tuesday. Its helped me focus on stuff that will hopefully take me forward, even if there's no quick fix to be had.
So today you get a new chapter of Ontario, What a day! sees Maddy finally reunited with family, even if she is a long way from home.
So on Wednesday you'll get the concluding part to The Visitors but in the meantime

Happy Yorkshire Day...
...to you too! I don't think I ever heard of it before, but any day where some kind of celebration happens, is a good day to me. But ... I gotta ask ... do you have Yorkshire pudding on Yorkshire day?
of course
Not that it's not eaten the rest of the year of course lol. Ideally it's a full on roast with a rhubarb based dessert to follow.
