Cash contributions from our members keep BigCloset operating. But we're very short for July, two days left and barely 60% of our contribution target received. It's always tight.
If you can help, it will be appreciated. And please, be safe.
Hugs,
Erin, Piper, Jamie, Cat and the rest of the crew

Keeping the big closet band in tune!
Hi, another month, too much heat, not enough water. But a little extra cash coming to you. Thanks for all you do.

The Gods must love BCTS
July has been tight for me too and it didn't look like I'd be able to contribute a cent.
But somehow the cashier at Raley's market didn't ring up the several most expensive items
this morning and my total was $20 less than what I had tallied in my head as I shopped.
I even mentioned: "Wow, that's way cheaper than I estimated" but didn't
discover the reason why until I got home and looked over my receipt.
If this had occurred at the self-checkout counter I would feel guilty
+ wonder if I was an unconscious kleptomaniac. And if the cashier
wasn't an old hand who had been there for decades I'd worry
about her losing her job or something; But this was clearly
an act of providence. I can only conclude that the Gods
wanted you to have this $20, and must love BCTS!
But not all that much. Otherwise I would've
found a $100 bill in the parking lot
on my way into the store...

A likely story from one of the usual suspects. :)

Erin should NOT have to do this
every month! There are more than enough of us members that can afford to give ONE DOLLAR every month! That would eliminate the debt that exists AND more than meet the needed funds every month to keep the site online!
There are a few who do a LOT more than that every month and I salute them for how much they do! Without them, this site would have probably faded into non existence the way others have.
This site has helped more than a few, giving them a chance to exercise their talents and also a place where they can get advice, be themselves and make decisions about what to do about being trans and yet, every month, Erin has to beg for money to keep the site online and growing.
For me and others, this site has been a lifeline. A place where we can be who we truly are and enjoy literature, yes I said LITERATURE, from some amazingly talented authors.
Surely we can afford to give back one dollar for all that, can't we? Some of us donate all the proceeds from books that ERIN has helped get published! Now I know that some us us are operating on the strictest budgets known to man or woman, in fact I know that some of us don't even have a bank account that would simplify giving that dollar each month and I sympathize with those members...but most of us CAN do a monthly contribution simply and easily...but do we do it? Some do, but the majority don't, for whatever reason.
All I ask for is that ALL of us who can, do it. You can't get a cup of coffee or a pack of gum for a dollar, not even a can or bottle of soda(pop). Please, all of you who can, do it. I'm about to cover 49 of you with 50 bucks. The rest of you, please help keep the site alive? Thank you.
Addendum: I have tried three times to send my pledge for the month, but Paypal doesn't seem to be responding. I will keep trying until it gets over whatever snit it seems to be experiencing.
Addendum 2. Success! Now that that's done, how about you out there? You give a dollar, we'll stand up and holler!
As a T-woman, I do have a Y chromosome... it's just in cursive, pink script.
Thanks, hon
I'm having a meeting with Paypal this afternoon about our problems with the interface.

Covid
Well I also suspect that the economic toll that Covid is going to take on us is only just beginning.
So that could also be a reason for the drop off in donations.
It just means belts have to be tightened one way or another.
Thanks

Wallet squeeze
Funds are a bit tighter than usual (yay for fridge dying a few weeks ago), but a $25 spot is on its way above the monthly. :)

what is happening?
This twice a month thingy is getting to be a bit much gang, people can't spare a few dollars and a stamp? Like the people who don't get the vaccine, get the vrus and then say, "I think I made a mistake!" will this site disappear? Oops. Think about it.

You and me both hon in the double dip club :(
With the Delta variant causing mayhem and more people needing entertainment at home, the loss of BC would be felt pretty keenly people.

Bumping as month's end is nigh!
July is about to be done with, hard to believe but true! We need to help the crew keep the lights on so if you can, please rustle those couch cushions and pockets for valuable lint! The monthly kittybox is dramatically low this go round, let's try and boost it up. I'll be distracting the piggybank with some wine when I get home tonight to see if any more shiny dimes can be pilfered...
Thanks, hon :)
