I'll keep this fairly brief, well ish!

So Thursday I caught the coach up to Sheffield - best bit of 4 hours wearing a face mask was less than enjoyable but I made it in one piece. Friday, after a visit to the chiropodist, was spent catching up with my Dad and Brother - not exciting and not what i'd planned but que sera.

Yesterday, that's Saturday, we ended up driving to Anglesey where we spent a glorious day exploring the coast before heading back to GOC where we arrived a little after 10pm.

That meant today was devoted to the job postponed from Friday - the sort of fixing of my touring bike and bringing it back to the house in advance of more work being done. Well things didn't run as smoothly as i'd hoped, a damaged wheel meant fitting a replacement (that i've had for 5 years), the brake work was almost a complete failure but I just about got it moveable. Just as well, I didn't want to walk the five miles back from the storage unit, once in a day is ample!

I had intended getting on the comp here this pm to post a new Gaby chapter but i've forgotten the login for the machine and can't even change it without getting online which I can't do because i've forgotten the login etc, etc.

So I'm doing this on my phone which means nothing fancy. Hopefully i'll get online later/tomorrow so I may get to do stuff.

In the meantime, enjoy the fine weather.

Anglesey must be getting crowded with BCTS visitors...

I spent Friday on Ynys Mon. After a great day last Sunday near Amlwch, I returned on Friday but the weather was a bit iffy. Bangor and Holyhead were shrouded in fog/mist/har but other parts were lovely and clear. Five hours sitting on a beach must be a record for me.
I returned to Hampshire on Saturday using the 'pretty route'. There are some great cycling roads SE of Aberystwyth. Narrow, twisty with lots of up and down. I didn't see another car at one point for more than an hour.
I hope that you can get your steed repaired and on the road again.
