So, in case you missed it, i'm currently on a sort of short road trip.

That is, I've travelled from my current 'base' far into the northern wastelands and into Yorkshire.

The really weird thing is that I've been staying in a (very) budget hotel, in the City I've called home for almost 40 years - a weird experience to be sure! So whilst I've done some familiar things re visiting friends, shopping (well there might be different stuff in H&M!) and so on, I've then not gone back to a familiar place to sleep. Messes with the head a little. And yes, I did find a couple of bargains, like you do.

Anyhow, tomorrow i'll be going further north to see my daughter and grandson, the main contents of my bags being his first bike and other goodies for a two year old! Looking forward to that of course (even if I do have to build the bike when I get there!) Friday then i'll be making the long (6 hour) coach journey back to Cabotsville, which I am not looking forward to.

So as I've managed to grab some web time I've been able to upload a new chapter of Gaby Express - Change of Routine. Hope you enjoy the banter as our heroine joins the rest for an afternoon training session but I must warn you, there is some 'interesting' bike piloting at one point (inspired by doing a similar leap myself down in Osterreich - mine was over a 'big' cattle grid!)

Things should return to some sort of normalcy on Saturday and I intend cracking on with the completion of Just Five Minutes on Sunday. I reckon there's another 10,000 words to write before the task of stitching it all together starts.

And on to the TG writers symposium. Well I've had a positive response from several prospective attendees so I think its an idea worth pursuing, tentatively i'm thinking an early August date, 7/8/9th possibly? As for location, still favour a Midlands destination, just so that its easy for people to access, if anyone has more specific venues they'd like to promote, i'm all ears so to speak (I do actually have other body parts but they don't lend themselves to this conversation!)

Okay, that's about all I can think of for now,
i'll see thee soon

Fair weather at least for your visit. I guess it would have been nice to "head for the hills", but there'll be other times I'm sure.
Dates Ok for me I think, will have to check the works calendar too.
Have fun tomorrow.
