Woo hoo!
I wish I was better at keeping my files backed up.
Storage
Many/most new computers come with 1 Terabyte drive, and I have learned that you can store just lots, more than lots of Doc files, and more pictures than one would think possible. I think that such large drives are not all good, and the lack of a well organized file management protocol, for me, aggravates the problem of keeping track of them. Perhaps part of the problem is that there is no way to actually delete files ??? I am a writer, not an IT person.
What I have located once again is several many files that are all in the same book that I will now name, "The Generations of Captain Brown". I plan to very temporarily store them all on my desktop and then move them to a new directory on my HD, some portable media, and, very reluctantly the OneDrive, perhaps.
It is frustrating to me that those I know are either as dumb as I am with Computers, or they are full on Militant Geeks that have little patience for those like me. They think with a capability that I do not possess.
I am off to perhaps purchase said new storage media. :)

Congratulations
I would offer help, but to me that is difficult when I cannot actually see for myself what’s going on. And since we live on different continents, a house call is a bit complicated.

File Explorer
If you know all (or part) of a filename, then you can find it using the search facility within File Explorer (also known as Windows Explorer) - an app within Windows System of "Apps by Name".
There is probably help on the Microsoft/Windows site that explains FE use, however click on items in the left column to get contents displayed in the right column, click on the arrow (triangle) before items in left column to expand (or compress) folders. Select items (drives, folders etc) to modify search range.
Note: Take care as files, folders etc. CAN be deleted by this FE program.
Good Luck
