Bad things are happening for trans people in the U.S.

The four most conservative judges voted against Same-sex marriage, and each wrote a separate opinion saying why Same-sex marriage should not be allowed. Kennedy was the winning swing vote and rumor has it that he may retire this summer. If Trump is able to get another ultra conservative on the court they will have a solid majority and I hate to think of the amount of damage that will occur to the rights of LGBTQ persons at the federal level.

Both of my parents died in their 83rd year from heart disease. I take fourteen pills a day and have survived one episode so at 70 I'm on schedule to check out in 2031. Given the state of the environment and the unthinkable changes taking place in Washington -- thirteen more years might be just about right. I raised my children to be outspoken and clear-thinking. It's my grandchildren that I worry about. The news out of DC has been a roller-coaster ride for the last three decades. Remember when Clinton ran on allowing gays to serve openly in the military and then stabbed us in the back with DADT. Remember that S.O.B. Barney Frank throwing us under the bus, etc. etc.

The pols play their games which are mainly based in how it impacts their re-election chances and "campaign" contributions. (I wish they'd quit using the phrase "campaign contributions" and call all contributions "legal bribes." If they didn't get to take home everything they don't use during their careers -- it might rightly be called a "campaign" contribution, But under the current format it's a bribe -- pure and simple.)

By passing this law, they are opening themselves up to lose in the long run.
Sadly it won't happen with the current Administration.

You know, when Hitler took over, the Jews in Germany simply did no want to believe what he had written in Mein Kampf would actually be possible in Germany. They were wrong and were killed by the tens of thousands. It didn't even take seven years to start. (1933 to 1939)

Don't believe the Americans will resist trump & Co. If you do you are probably not going to survive. The only solution is to pull up the tent stakes and leave ... this time toward the east: Europe. As the US saved a lot of Jews in WWII this time Europe may save the Transgender and Rainbow people.
