I'll start with the bad news first.
Whisper Pines is being a real SOB at the moment. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get myself out of the current hole I've written myself into. I'm sure I'm just over thinking it all and the solution will come to me eventually. I really like the story and I want to finish it, I owe it you guys to finish it :(.
Ok that's the bad news.
The good news is that just because I can't seem to write that, doesn't mean I'm done with writing.
I've actually been writing a summer story that I'm particularly proud of. It surprised me too. Never in a million years did I think I would be going back to this universe. Especially since I told myself I was done with it for the time being. Trust me I've tried going back a few times and have failed miserably at it. This new story though is something fun. It has a set of very familiar characters and is told from a fresh and a bit malicious point of view.
I think people are really going to like it. I hope to be done with it very soon. It won't be posted in chapters either. It will be Novella length so one full posting :)

First I will Say Keep At It Before any of my comment could feel negative to you, None of it is.
I have noticed a pattern to you stories, not being negative here, you get deep into them and then slam into a brick wall with them, then your little ADHD muse goes off on another story you had been thinking about, and it is always hard for you to work the little bugger back onto it.
It happens to many authors on this site, I know it frustrates you, i does the same thing to your fans.
BUT WE ENJOY THE WORK WE GET TO SEE SO DO NOT KICK YOU SELF OVER IT!!!!!
I first found your DRU stories, then read your retcon ones, and all your stories since. It has happened often but hey you got further than most in this since you managed to publish a few of you story arcs you finished. Who knows maybe your Muse will some day see a way to finish them all.

The other thing I have notices is very few authors in general manage to publish a stories that are all part of a single serial/saga, I am talking the big time authors here; Tom Clancy, J. R. R. Tolkien, George R. R, Martin, J. K. Rowling, etc...

I've missed that universe so much. And now there's going to be a new story, and it will be from Malice's perspective.
This might not happen in this story even if it's going to, but I've always wondered after Tracy's words to Mrs. Crawford back in For the Fairest, basically promising to always protect Malice, is that going to become a more formal relationship (even as their romantic inclinations are of course elsewhere)?
The New Story
I can tell you that this story takes place 6 months after Bonding Time and that the other stories I was writing in the universe---the unfinished ones---have already all happened universe wise. Yes, I do have plans to finish them because I finally figured out how I want to finish them :). Also note that there is no TG element in this story because its from Malice's point of view, I have no plans to gender flip her or anything like that.
Well, well, well. Even better.
More of the others coming! I've spent quite a bit of time mourning the death DRU, but now I guess it is (appropriately!) becoming undead. And I am a fantasy nerd in general, so a non-TG DRU story or two won't bug me (and Malice is utterly fabulous).

I really do like the DRU you created. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering if you ever plan to finish Kylie Mars story? He/she is probably my favorite characters you created in this universe and it feels like it's been ages since I last read one of your amazing stories about Kylie. Anyway more DRU is always good news.
