I just got back from Graduation where I graduated Summa Cum Laude the only one in my major. I now have an associate's degree in applied sciences software developement. I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact I finally have a degree and I graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Punched Cards?
Nah. We had a few PDP-11/40's around plus a number of Nat Semi 16bit Microprocessors.
I started writing my own OS for the PDP-11. A very useful grounding when I went to work for DEC a few years later.

Keep going girl. When you find work, I hope that you can make that AA a BA then a MS then a Phd. I have an AA and started to go on but life got in the way ya know.

Summa Cum Laude
is a united states term elsewhere its usually "with honors"
Summa cum laude
Actually, summa cum laude would be equivalent to First-Class Honors in the British System.
