Yep, its time for some bike action from our tiny songbird!
But first, well i made the mistake of posting twice in one day, the second of which seems to have disappeared into the ether so i'll slip its contents in here!
'Just a quickie that i thought i'd share.
I like to write from experience, there isn't much that my characters have done / experienced that i myself haven't or at least would potentially do, whether that's visiting places or doing stuff. For example, my hair has been dyed in a plethora of colours from almost white to green to pink to blue and of course, red. I've subjected myself to a miriad of piercings, i've tried tattoos, worn all sorts of clothing from Cosplay to Kostum, Goth to girl next door. But there has been one thing that often crops up in the TG genre that i've not done, whilst i do sometimes paint my nails i've never been to a nail bar - that is until today!
Don't ask me why but as i travelled back from Germany i resolved to do just that and so this morning i set off to do the deed. A couple of hours later i emerged with a full set of modest extensions firmly affixed to my fingers in a sparkly cherry red. I thought it best not to go too daft lengthwise, i still need to do stuff after all. I'm pretty chuffed with them - i'd better be as i'm stuck with them until at least the New Year but having been through the process i will now be able to write 'nail' scenes somewhat better! What do you reckon?
Then Aunty Bev picked me up and we had a couple of hours at Bath Christmas Market. I did the food and drink stuff that qualifies it as a proper visit even if the mulled wine was neither particularly warm or great on taste - guess i've been spoilt by my trip to Germany!

And no, i haven't so far managed to destroy them, poke my eye out or anything else. I'm still adapting to how they limit your dexterity, they are, after all, at 1/4" long (for the metric of you that's @7mm), around twice as long as i've previously grown my own nails (except the pinky which is often that long). Sat in the nail bar i was temped to go longer but i'm glad i didn't, maybe next time? But, as i said on Friday, i am effectively 'stuck' with them for the foreseeable so i better get used to them pronto.
So what else have i been up to? Well i have been out for a couple of bike rides, on Thursday and again yesterday, when i say short, they've both been a couple of hours long doing variations of the Bristol to Bath bike path. So nothing too exciting or strenuous, but better than doing nothing.
Today i'll do a short leg stretch walk after lunch which i'll start in a few minutes - its lamb & mint pies today. Not quite sure what the new week will bring, shopping for Christmas food tomorrow certainly and weather permitting, a slightly longer ride on Tuesday.
And so here is the link to the latest Gaby, Rothe Kuppe, can our heroine score another victory after a week on the lash? read on to find out.
So that's it for today, i'll be back again midweek but for now,
Tschussie,
Madeline Anafrid
