I hate to say this. I feel betrayed. I'm post operative MTF and thought I was sailing along just fine.

I had wondered why my Doctor had not renewed my prescription of Estradiol .1 patches. She is unwilling to discuss the matter with me, or it seems that way.

In the last months I've had Edema in both legs, odd spots on my skin. Now I am scheduled to have a heart image procedure with dye. They seem to be very concerned with tumors on my spine and brain and Stroking out.

I've been using Hormones for yonks (can't remember how long). Tonight, growing suspicious, I started doing my own research. What I have found online is sobering.

It is doubtful that my actions will do any good. I threw any hormones I had out.

As much as I have valued my life over the last decade or two, I have stopped. I am not blaming anyone. Continue on your way at your own peril. As for me, I am a woman with or without Hormones.

It is very risky especially

It is very risky especially if you do not have an active lifestyle. It increases the risk for heart disease immensely if you are sedentary. And if you know the properties of estradiol, then you know what it is I'm speaking of.

The Doctors

The Doctors and Psychological people advocate for using drugs that kill you.

My doctors...

If they do not understand you or have followed your case for a long while, then you can probably say that they do out of negligence. Only you can decide what is best for you. Frankly, I do not trust drugs that haven't been out for at least 20+ years or more. But if you have heart disease or diabetes, then your options become limited. I have to trust the doctor's I have come across, they are all that are keeping me alive since February. I am heart attack prone.

So I would suggest getting new doctors if your current ones don't seem to understand you, or their diagnosis seems a little bogus. It is up to you to find the doctors that you can trust.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

I do not know about Estradiol. But Premarin, a estrogen replacement commonly prescribed to post-menopausal women, has shown to dramatically increase the risk of cancer. Especially breast cancer.

I remember following the blog of trans-lady from the southwest of the USA in the very late 1990s as she transitioned from initial HRT, the RLT and through SRS. Unfortunately she had to move to a nearby city to get a new job as medical doctor in her female identity. She wrote on her blog about the research linking Premarin to breast cancer at the turn of the millennium.

One of my aunts in Canada had to have a radical mastectomy for breast cancer that was directly linked to almost 15 years of post-menopausal HRT with Premarin. She has now been cancer-free for about 20 years.

A Mixture of Homones?

There are thousands of instances of the girls self medicating. Some of them were using ungodly doses of estrogen as it was inexpensive purchasing it overseas. (I purchased overseas) If a little bit of estrogen worked than a whole lot more was better. Right?
Wrong! Estrogen is and was a very nasty hormone for many. All the horror stories if one kept up on the early TG sites came from estrogen and many of the early hormones the girls were self dosing. I'm not going to get into all the hormones the girls should avoid. The one I will endorse if anyone wants to keep injecting is estradiol a synthetic estrogen. Estrogen comes from pregnant horse pee and is a nightmare (pun intended) for those who took it. I have a complete blood work done every six months to make sure this body I inhabit is still ticking over like it should. So far, looking good. Against doctor's advice I'm injecting (not taking orally) 1/2 ml estradiol per week. This bypasses the kidney and is the only hormone I am taking.
I've lost too many girls over the years. Some to misuse of hormones, drugs, murder, suicide and some to age. How many of you drive with your eyes closed? Why are you letting your doctor analyze your body when you're the one living in it? Doctors are great but not always up to the job. It's no disgrace or slander against doctors but they are only human, the same as us.

I NEVER SELF MEDICATED.

My whole journey through the Gender Change nightmare was under professional supervision.

None of us knew about my odd genetics (XXY) until the last few years. My guess is that when my Doctor found out about that and the effect of the Hormones on me, it was so alarming that they just cut it all off.

They likely refuse to talk about this to me because they fear a lawsuit. I have no intentions of doing that. They never knew me.

Whatever your decision about adding hormones ...

I very strongly suggest not messing up your system, by unintentionally adding more hormones.

In one study of dairy and hormones, Dr. Neal Barnard (https://www.pcrm.org/yourbodyinbalance) asked the women to not use hormonal birth control, as that would mess up the study.

One woman said "No problems, Doc. We use nothing, as I am infertile." She landed in the no dairy group. Just two months later, she happy-called to say "I'm pregnant!". The dairy she had been eating/drinking had enough hormones to 'sterilize' her.

Dairy has about three ways to start and maintain cancers. Also it promotes diabetes and heart disease ...

In short, dairy, in all forms, is a cluster-F$$K of health problems.

Whatever you decide about adding hormones, just get the F---off of all dairy.

Please.

Cow milk is for baby cows. I have been using almond milk for years and it cleared up many of my allergies. :DD
