of a pauper writer!

Or 'what i did this summer'. Well not quite.

I've been getting back into some sort of routine, well trying to at least, things are still a bit of a pickle but i've managed a couple of walks and a couple of rides since Wednesday. Neither walk has been very long, 6/7km each but both the rides have been over 70km despite the winds of Storm Lilian continuing to blow through. We've not had it as bad as further north but its still no fun riding into 30kph plus winds, my arms have been quite sore from fighting to stay vertical!

The sharp eyed will have seen that i actually managed a bit of writing yesterday, hopefully i'll get more done this week. I have got something for you to read though, chapter 2, Gyros, of Gaby - Smell of the crowd. It's 2700 words of typical Gaby banter and culinary exploration.

Aunty Bev treated us to steak today, my horticultural efforts supplied most of the rest of the meal so despite my current fiscal embarrasment i'm not starving, only four more days until 'payday' and there's food in the cupboard!

Tomorrow is a Bank Holiday, not sure what the occasion is but its the last one in the UK until Xmas, that's four whole months away! Not that i'll be doing anything anyhow, for that you need money lol.
