Well sort of
Now don't get me wrong, i'm not OCD with routine but i do function better with some order in my life. For the last month there hasn't really been any which has thrown out my body clock and left me in a bit of a daze so this week i'm trying to put some discipline back into my life. Is it working? Well the jury's out on that still but i did go for a ride yesterday, just a quick 50km job, well its literally been a month since my previous two wheeled jaunt so i thought, something steady was a better idea than ploughing straight into a full day effort. It went okay, there were some complaints early on from muscles that have been taking it easy for four weeks but by the end everything was ticking along nicely.
I'm still settling back into having a proper bed and a reasonable choice of clothing - its the little things that you can put up with short term but for a longer period gets to be a bit of a drag. Today has been a walking day, over 6km in a variation of my Frome valley walk, i did get to see a Kingfisher (which was too quick for my photographic skills) and an Egret (that wasn't) I'm always on the lookout for wildlife, some of the highlights of my recent time in Germany include seeing Storks, a Throstle, assorted deer and even a White Tailed Eagle as we journeyed back to Berlin.
The German trip was always going to be something of a strain on my finances, it was only doable at all as my brother paid for the flights, most of the accomodation, food and tourist stuff. It wasn't a free ride by any shakes, i paid for most of the 'in Germany' travel (except the ICE train) as well as being in charge of ice cream! But the trip was always gonna make August a bit tight and bills away from that have left me currently in the red, the business up in Sheffield hasn't helped but it wasn't exactly optional. There will be a refreshment of funds next week but until then i'm running on fumes! I've been here before of course but it does tend to cramp what you can do and eat somewhat. To add to my monetary woes, as is usual, book sales for August have been woeful, less than a third of a typical month so October will be a bit thin at Bell acres too.
My parents didn't leave any family heirlooms but we have inherited an amount of 'stuff' relating to various hobbies they pursued over the years, a lot of it is total tosh but otherstuff is deserving of finding new homes. The biggest in volume is the dolls and doll house miniatures, there's nothing of huge value (we don't think) but i'm sure someone out there will be interested. In fact, do any of you do 1/12th scale miniatures? Would someone like a new hobby? There is all sorts of stuff from figures to pet supplies, beds to lighting and one large dollshouse - well lots of stuff. I obviously would like to see some return but everything will be priced very competively, if anyone here is interested send me a pm and there may be some BC discount.
Anyhow, i'll leave y'all there, i'll be back with more Gaby and news at the weekend but for now,
Tschussie,
Madeline Anafrid
