On the BCTS site and the larger Internet, there are citizens from literally every part of the world. Despite my own cautious belief in a higher order of things, human activity, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, hurricanes and other chilling events, I'll admit to being quite tense and sleepless at times.
Then there are the nutty conspiracy theorists that at times make life all the harder.
This is nothing new. There is: The poem Thanatopsis by William Cullen Bryant includes the line, "So live, that when thy summons comes to join / The innumerable caravan, that moves / To that mysterious realm, where each shall take / His chamber in the silent halls". Go quietly...
May we comfort each other where ever we are or how far apart...

Blogs are not stories
You first posted this as a story, it's not a story. One of the staff moved it to blogs. Then you posted a blog which pushed this off the new blog list. Then you reposted this as a story. It's still not a story. I've moved it back to the top of the blogs.

A Sort of Prequel ???
If I ever get to it and it strikes my fancy, perhaps I might write stories vaguely related to it. This was written in the dark of the night and I will freely admit that it was poorly worked out when I did it. Since Covid my brain thinks it is working graveyard shift. 40 years ago, way before my openly TG days, a Doctor once told me not to work graveyard shift since it was too hard on me. Go figure.
I once had a wife and three kids. That is all gone now and writing is what is left.

Or a line, or whatever you say it is. This William Bryant fella. It sounds good to me. A kind of peace.
If you find solace in something maybe that's OK. Don't cut tomorrow off from finding tomorrow's solace.
