which isn't ideal when you have stuff to do that involves going outside!

But lets go back a couple of days. My Vinted sales started off well over the weekend and so first order of the day was going to buy some mailing bags! That accomplished most of the morning was taken with sorting the sales out and packing them up, it was a steep learning curve sorting out the shipping but quite straightforward. My walk after lunch was mostly taken with dropping packets at the various courier pick up points, three different places across five courier services. I'll not get rich from it but a little is better than none, i'll sort out more stuff this coming weekend.

I had hoped to get more writing done but in the end i just added a couple of pages to my bike riding book project.

The forecast for Tuesday was dry but with the wind moving south slightly which suggested a trip to the coast for a tailwind-ish return. I was quite late setting off and i can't say that i was feeling that great, my legs were like lead as i climbed away from the Avon. And it didn't feel any better as i made my way up to the airport but once over the top i perked up a bit, some downhill giving some relief as i moved closer to the coast.

I was actually quite warm by the time i reached my stop at Clevedon, i was certainly ready for the chicken burger i had. Rather than head directly towards Bristol i extended my assisted distance by heading up to Portishead and over the bridge to Avonmouth, before following the Avon into the city. A loop north avoided school chucking out time on the bike path and i finished the ride with a little over 101km.

And so to today. It's quite likely that the issue with the Ebike is something i could fix myself but i don't have the diagnostic stuff and knowledge so rather than play and potentially set myself up with a huge bill i thought i'd take it to someone who does know. Its quite brand sensitive but i found somewhere not too far away and booked the bike in for today which of course has seen almost continuous rain since before dawn!

So i did get quite wet riding the unpowered machine to the workshop, wet enough that the plan is to let the bike dry out before they start looking at it tomorrow. The rain eased whilst i was there so rather than catch a bus back i decided to walk with the carrot of an IKEA breakfast on the way. It did allow me to dry out some before completing the journey, the rain having eased to a bit of mizzle so i got back not completely drowned!

Well that's it outside for today, hopefully things will dry up ahead of tomorrows ride. I'll be back on Sunday - i am planning a birthday ride so it may be late again but there will be another Gaby chapter and perhaps some more news?
