and some weather!

This week has so far been a bit of a wash out, not heavy rain, but enough drizzle to make outdoor activities less than pleasant. I have been out for a couple of walks and today i did get out on two wheels - more on that in a mo. I had hoped to get more writing done, well i've done a bit but not as much as i'd like, i'm still working up the storyline in my head - which i usually do out on the bike, no bike ride and my brain goes to mush!

So what about today's bike ride i hear you ask? Well it was only ever going to be a shorter ride due to the weather so i thought i'd do some more exploration of the bits of Bristol you usually don't go through. The E bike fault had cleared so i thought i'd use that given the nature of the ride.

I was actually some 27km into my doodling when once again the error flashed up on the controller and i lost power. This time i just headed back, ending up with a paltry 40km ride for my efforts. I've done more research and i think i may have the cause cracked, a poor connection, probably due to corrosion, between battery and motor. I think the 'fix' was the system drying out but thats not a long term solution or conducive to using the bike on those longer rides.

Yup, i'm gonna have to get deep in and dirty, clean all the contacts and damp protect the connections, I say me, it might need a shop visit, i'll take a look tomorrow.

That's it for today i'll leave by wishing you all a belated happy Valentines Day, i'll be back on Sunday,
TTFN,
Madeline Anafrid
