Well it did mean i got a bit of writing done instead!
I started the week full of zest, i bashed through another new chapter on Monday which was great but beyond the glass it was a nice day - i guess you can't have it both ways.
Which was certainly the case when i checked the weather for Tuesday, damp and windy, i'm not going out in that! Oh well, i can get on with the writing instead, except of course i didn't, well not in the morning, instead i went out to change some pounds for euros ahead of next weeks trip and then i treated myself to a liver dinner at the local cafe. It was after one when i finally put pen to paper metaphorically, and whilst i had the plot in my head, by tea time i only had half the words down that i wanted, oh well, at least i got some words wroted.
The weather today was actually similar to Tuesday, grey, windy and the occasional appearance of the golden orb through the clouds, the difference was it was dry. And so i was tempted into a slightly longer, well 118km ride taking in a climb onto the Mendip and some twiddly bits. It was a quite enjoyable, head clearing ride - you can't think of anything beyond turning the pedals when you are on a 20% climb! I was hoping to get a few metres of altitude in, 958 wasn't bad, it really is difficult to get in decent up numbers without venturing further.
I'll let you know whats happening with me over the festive period at the weekend, but for now,
Tak!
