While going through a pile of condolences I received after my mother died in January 2008, I discovered an envelope that had an order for six ebooks and a money order for the cost plus an anount for postage.
This is multiply sad because these are ebooks, I can't mail them. And no email address was included so I can't provide them through email, either, nor was the name given traceable through BCs membership list.
Charlene, if you're still out there, I can give you a hatbox membership so you can download these items, please contact me via email or PM.

If I don't get a communication within a week or so, I'll have to send the money order back before it expires. Or I can send a couple of the BC paperbacks along, though that wasn't what was ordered. I'm not sure what to do.

Why can't you buy the ebooks (thus author gets money) copy them to a cd and bung it in the post?

Save the ebooks as Doc,RTF,LIT or any other format onto a Compact Disc and send that to Charlene, See easy, Sending a person by post huh don't know what your taking/smoking Paula but can I have some hehe.

I think you have found the solution to the problem of receiving items by mail without everyone knowing about it. Plain brown packing is not good as people will assume it is something nefarious.
Enter Cross Dress Carriers..
Your item is carefully packaged in pretty gift wrap and passed to the cross dresser who then travels to your door to deliver it. Total peace of mind, the postman doesn't see it and can't spread rumours, and the neighbours see a friend delivering a present... Perfect.
