The Sandie Peggie case involved an NHS nurse who faced a disciplinary process after an incident in a women's changing room involving a transgender doctor.
Ms. Peggie encountered a transgender doctor, Dr. Upton, in the women's changing room at NHS Fife. The exact details of the exchange and the language used are disputed, but it led to allegations of misconduct, failures in patient care, and misgendering. Ms. Peggie also faced allegations of using racist slurs in chat messages and describing Dr. Upton as a "weirdo,"
Ms. Peggie faced a disciplinary process by NHS Fife, including allegations of gross misconduct. She was ultimately cleared of gross misconduct after an internal hearing
Clearly she had a problem with the trans Doctor Upton. It started up the whole crap narrative about trans women in "women's spaces"
Right wing TV and radio saying I don't care if they have had full gender reassignment , If you are XY you should never be in a female space.
As far as toilets (bathrooms, why are they called that when public ones don't have baths?) are concerned. It is common in the UK to have signs up saying " these facilities are cleaned by male and female attendants" Or something similar
How does that work for the TERF's and JK?
Almost every motorway service station has these signs Two days ago, while in the men's toilet, a woman walked in and cleaned the driers as I was peeing. I felt so threatened, I had to go and lay down for a while.
Ms. Peggie complaining about a "man" in the changing room.
Sandie Peggie claims being made to get changed beside Dr Beth Upton - who is a trans woman - amounted to unlawful harassment under the Equality Act. Ms Peggie told the first day of the tribunal that she felt "embarrassed and intimidated" when Dr Upton started getting changed in the room.
Another judge ruled that Ms Peggie was allowed to refer to Dr Upton as a man throughout the tribunal, as long as it was not done "offensively" or "gratuitously".Dr Upton's legal team said that the medic was deeply hurt by being misgendered.
Real terfiyness there,
But Judge Sandy Kemp ruled in Ms Peggie's favour, while acknowledging it might be "painful and distressing" for Dr Upton - whose legal team will be able to refer to their client as female.
You can see the whole thing was a woman with an axe to grind.
What I don't understand is that Dr Beth Upton is a doctor. She sees all parts of a woman probably on a daily basis. How many millions of women have been examined by a male doctor? Same for men by a female doctor.
I think the whole thing was trans hate.
My "angel" Mike sent me this about the case. I totally agree with him.
This really isn’t about whether or not a nurse has been unjustly treated. No, it’s about getting publicity, and ramping up the headlines, and scoring points in every way possible, no holds barred. The nurse is being funded by god-knows-who, and loses no opportunity to go out of her way to show her hatred and aggression towards a trans person and everybody who sticks up for her. Humiliation is the order of the day. No question of calming things down, and getting a solution such as putting the people concerned on different shifts. Not on your life, because that would mean she would no longer have an axe to grind. And the Health Service are no better: digging up all the dirt they can on the nurse, and throwing it at her. And, by the way, the dirt apparently even includes fake menstrual blood. Strikes me, the only person who comes well out of this, is the much maligned (but well nigh unheard) Dr Beth Upton herself.

And...
That well known author got involved. She is as anti trans as that US Representative who sounds off at every opportunity.
No names were mentioned but you know who I mean.
We don't need these so called celebs (Z level) slagging us off at every opportunity.

Don't dignify her by calling her an author
That person couldn't write a shopping list, without a team of authors and "creative editors". I read the first book years ago and thought "Enid Blyton" for the next generation.
I suppose she has to keep her profile high, but my oh my, bullying is not pleasant to watch.

It’s why a swimmer that came in 5th saw a money grab
Here in the US we have Riley Gaines who used her 5th place finish to a pay day. In the case you bring up, I do wonder if it’s a bit of Jealousy perhaps and then latched on to the payday?
Being A Nurse
Is supposed to be a calling full of caring and sympathy. That nurse probably sees the private parts of both male and female patients on a daily basis. Are we supposed to believe she is disgusted and feels degraded every time she has to handle a male patient?
I'm sure it is the same in the UK as it is in Australia. Nurses undergo several years of training before they are qualified. Such exposure should weed out homophobic and transphobic individuals. Sandy Peggie has no right to be a nurse.
This affair has the stink of a grudge match.
