The news about Joe Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis reminds me that most trans women still have their prostate and so could possibly get prostate cancer. Since testosterone tends to fuel the cancer that may reduce the incidence in trans women with a lower hormone level but does not eliminate it and it seems that the PSA test which is often used as an indicator of cancer may be normal in a trans woman who has early cancer.
The conclusion I would draw is that trans women past middle age should have checks for prostate cancer, not think that because of their transition they are no longer at risk. If any reader has personal experience of this, or has any more information, it would be useful for them to share it with others. A Google search will also reveal some articles with information.

Prostate
I had my surgery in Bangkok, Thailand in 2007. According to the surgeon, the surgery involves digging around in anatomy that was not designed for a vagina. In order to get said room, he did a little digging around in the Prostate, reducing its size. HE said that I would have less risk because of the surgery, the lower levels of Tesosterone, and the use of Estrogen patches. He said that to remove the entire Prostate would leave me in diapers. I am not a Doctor.
PS: One thing I neglected to mention is that for whatever reason, along the way, I stopped being able to Orgasm. No matter what people say, T folk can not have a female climax; surgeons can not counterfeit that. For at least 5 years, the desire is 10% there, a low hum that is not enough to make you crazy but it is distracting. I write about wild BDSM sex, like nice butts and breasts, get jealous of long beautiful hair. There is no desire for male attention. That's a good thing. The wrong man would likely murder me. Would it be murder or assisted suicide??? I do not have the answer.

Prostate Cancer
Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. That was a surprise. An integral part of my treatment was, and still is, regular injections of goseralin (Zoladex) to reduce my testosterone levels.
I had 39 zaps of radiation but so far so good, with the Zoladex I'm doing OK. You're never clear of cancer but I'm clear right now.
Prostate cancer
I would suggest that risk is proportionate to the duration and level of testosterone one had been exposed to.
That said, I started hormone replacement when I was merely 24.5 years old and have been on it since.
Plus i've been on anti-androgens for the majority of that time since.
My father did not have Prostate cancer so there is that also.
My point is this is an individual thing and each person has to gauge their risk to this.
I for one do not want to go to a urologist as I am female on my health insurance and would need some explaining to say the least.
I want to keep being trans on the down low as much as possible and based on my history I think my risks are extremely low so no it is not worth it.
The risk is dependent...
The risk is dependent... because in many cases of reported trans women with prostate cancer, it's been in older patients that may have had the EARLY starts of it already before hrt.
Those who transition much younger may face vastly reduced/zero risk due to no early mutations.

Dairy & Dairy products as =avoidable= cancers (pl.) risk
Bluntly put, dairy and dairy products are a Cluster-F$$K of health problems.
See: https://www.pcrm.org/good-nutrition/nutrition-information/he...
Pull quote:
"Milk and other dairy products are the top source of saturated fat in the American diet, contributing to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. Studies have also linked dairy to an increased risk of breast, ovarian, and =prostate= cancers."

Oh, and whatever hormones one might be using - dumping in random loads of pregnant cow hormones has got to be messing with "the system".
