I'm sick with a bad cold. It's not the flu and I tested negative for Covid, so it's just a cold. And now Melanie has caught it too, but we are getting by. Today it feels like it's turning around for me, so I expect to be fine in another four or five days.
Not to worry.
Hugs,
Erin

Get better!
I had a pretty bad one a week or so ago, but it was mercifully short lived. I hope the two of you are finished just as quickly. :)

Get Well Soon
Best to you.
I am truly sorry to hear that the two of you are ill……
They say that misery loves company, but it has been my experience that when you put more than one sick person together, the misery seems to grow exponentially. Two sick people is about ten more than one.
Feel better soon.

Not a Cure
Take the following to shorten a cold, flu, etc. Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc. The old remedy of Orange juice is nice, I never found it to shorten a cold or flu. There are some applications will drive out a cold or flu in a day or two. Don't ask. What I will share is hot lemonade with a splash of whiskey will clear up the flame in the throat and speed recovery. Sip it don't drink it.
Hugs Erin, get well babe.

If you doctor a cold
My father once told me that if you doctor a cold, you can get over it in two weeks. But if you don't do anything for it, it'll last the full fourteen days.
I once got rid of the nasties by drinking a half a fifth of 100 proof vodka with beer backs, I laid down to sleep without getting undressed and woke with my clothes wet with sweat and feeling fine. Not sure if I'd recommend that as a cure, but half a dozen shots in and I didn't care that I was sick.

That is one I have never tried…….
And I have absolutely zero desire to do so either, lol.
Personally, I am one of those people who doesn’t get sick, other than periodic sinus headaches when the weather changes or the pollen levels get seriously high - and I have always found that two Tylenol will fix that. As my Marine Corps DI way back in NROTC always used to say, “Nothing like a little drive-on candy for what ails you,” lol. Surprisingly, he was right. It always worked for whatever hurt when I was in the field - bruises, scrapes, sore muscles, a dislocated shoulder once, a couple of close encounters with shrapnel, and even a couple of bullet wounds, lol.
I did have a friend in the service who swore by hot tea, Southern Comfort, a little honey, and a cinnamon stick to treat a cold though. He swore that it worked for sore throats and opened your sinuses.

We just =so= have to steal -er- copy those 'react' emojis ...
... from fugly-bugly -er- facebook.
Clearly, your blog needs a "Sad".

Of course, get well soonest.

I'm stealin-er- "borrowing" dorothycolleen's invention, the "Huggle". I always have a surplus because BCTS, because Bach, because clean water, because internet, ... because everything I'm grateful for.
And I have to dump the surplus out into the Æther [1] before the Huggles leak out of my eyes ,,,
So (everybody), grab all the Huggles you want. Delivery is at the Speed of Thought [2].

[1] That's not "ether-net". The Æther. I'm taking the name of what, a century+ ago was thought to be the medium carrying light waves. Or photons. Or *grabbing Wikipedia*...
[2] The Speed of Thought is incomprehensibly faster than lightspeed.
Feeling better
Not 100%, but I got a good 7 hours sleep and have more energy than I have had in a couple of weeks. Going to do some writing today. :)
Thanks for all the well-wishes. :
