Recommendations - Series of unfortunate events

Hi guys,
I'm looking for stories where the main character is left with no other option but to wear girls clothes, but isn't necessarily forced. Classic examples would be forgetting his suitcase on a trip to stay with family only to realise that there's no way back and the only clothes available are frilly dresses and skirts, or a boy getting soaked in the rain and jumping straight into the shower then coming out to see a cute outfit laid out on the bed for him. Please don't recommend any overtly explicit stories I'm not into that stuff.

I will add another shameless plug to Penny's: Check out the TG Universes & Series: Tales of Anmar by Penny Lane. It starts with Somewhere Else Entirely, though you might want to start directly with Chapter 1 – Alone on a mountain.

There are several side stories including What Milsy Did (parallels Somewhere Else Entirely), Armsman of Joth (which is actually “cross-dressing” in reverse), as well as several short stories under the banner of Somewhere Else Entirely.

Then it continues with the currently ongoing The Voyage of the Visund.

In the same universe, and with their own secondary trans characters, we also have some side stories by two other authors: The Warrior Princess by Di Wonder and Julia's Scribbles by Julia Phillips. The Julina of Blackstone's Collection parallels Somewhere Else Entirely and The Voyage of the Visund from the point of view of a local resident. Meanwhile Alibi Omnino is kind of a prequel. While Tales of Faralmark and Tales of Upper Fanir provide additional background for events toward the end of Somewhere Else Entirely and set the stage for events told in The Voyage of the Visund.

Fake it

The recently finished Fake It Till You Make It by Alyssa Plant has a situation as you specified in chapters 28 and 29. A December baptism in the Rhein is not precisely conducive to maintaining a rapidly crumbling mask male mask in front of a burgeoning female self. But please read the story from the start in order to gain the proper context, as well as to appreciate all the amusing and humorous verbal zingers that are sprinkled all throughout the story.

But there is also a cameo in “Fake It” that reminds me of another long running series where the intrepid main characters (at least in the first half of the series) repeatedly finds himself “forced” to wear girl clothes. It is a tale of teen angst and self-discovery, with a dose of peer pressure bullying, social adventures and even romance. Of course I am referring to the intrepid Gaby Bond by Maddy Bell. 26 Books with 40 chapters each have been posted here on BigCloset, and Maddy is currently posting Book 27 at about one chapter per week.

At first I thought it would be easy to find the desired stories by using "suitcase" or "rain" in the search function. Less easy than I thought. Quite a lot of "non-relevant" hits listed. Still, sifting through word searches as though should turn up some stories you like.

However, then I remembered that there is a tag "accidental": https://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/search/topshelf/?f%5B0%5D=im_...
Sifting through that you'll probably find some stories.

I was surprised it took so long for someone to mention the early Gaby stories.

And to finish off with some more shameless selfplugging (no, not the physical kind) I found that I have not written many stories with that concept but there are:

Of course those are Bru stories so don't expect mainline stories (no sex though).
